“London’s Men’s Fashion Week” started this Friday, after mens fashion market grew up to £12.9 Billion between 2008 to 2013, more mens fashion designers has come to light even if the most concentrate on creation of male fabric on designs that most of them for now goes back to 1970’s.
This year London Mens Fashion Week introduces Galliano’s career rehabilitation, coming almost four years after he was sacked from ‘Christian Dior’. 54-year-old designer made brief returns to the limelight, he also designing a one-off collection for ‘Oscar de la Renta’ 2014.
The schedule has been extended to four days, rather than three, with brands such as Top MAN, Aquascutum Men’s, Burberry, Alexander McQueen, Paul Smith, Moschino, Christopher Raeburn and Craig Green.
TOPMAN Design did the opening show, and this season influences from the Bay City Rollers, it was about 1970s glamour and rock’n’roll with stand out pieces including Double-Breast Suits and Slimfit Denim Boilersuits. Tight Polo necks and smart Denim Jackets looked likely to be commercial hits for Spring Summer. Turn Up trousers featured kick flares, their shortened hems showing a hint of ankle. British Hip Hop star Tinie Tempah is one of the models in the show.
